Ever since I can remember, Sunday lunch has been something special. A while ago it consisted of homemade chicken soup that was prepared no less than by my Dad, fried chicken (thighs and drumsticks were my favorite, chicken’s breasts have never been so juicy), French fries and some kind of a salad.
Now, after 8 years of macrobiotic / vegan way of life, in a much different version, the tradition remains.
So this time we are honoring it with this delicious colorful dish. Fried tofu marinated in tamari sauce (in two versions: the pieces and diced, sprinkled with caraway), brown rice, cream chard sauce and salad with beets, ginger, parsley and hibiscus.
Not exactly a chicken soup and it doesn’t evoke memories of childhood, but still veeery delicious!
